Chan and Jeri

From the very first time we met with Chan and Jeri, it was clear that their wedding day was going to be all about spending as much time as possible with their loved ones. Every decision they made reflected their deep care for their guests, making for a day filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.

Their family and friends played a huge role in bringing their vision to life, helping with decorations and making sure every detail was just right. A special highlight of the day was Chan’s mom and brother flying in from Korea to celebrate with them. During the ceremony, their pastor delivered a heartfelt message filled with meaningful illustrations and shared the beautiful story of how Chan and Jeri met and grew together as a couple. The excitement in the air was undeniable, especially when they played a touching video of Chan’s pastor from Korea praying over them. One of the standout moments from his prayer? A special request for many children—a wish that had everyone smiling!

Despite the rain on their wedding day, nothing could dampen the joy and excitement that surrounded them. Chan and Jeri took it all in stride, their happiness shining through every part of the celebration.

Their wedding was a true reflection of their personalities, full of intentionality and thoughtfulness. They made decisions that kept their guests in mind, from the flow of the day to the way they structured their time. In fact, when we first started discussing their wedding timeline, they shared that they wanted to skip couple portraits on the day of their wedding to ensure they had more time with everyone. Instead, they planned an adventure session for later, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in their wedding day without missing a moment with their guests.

We had previously done their engagement session at Donner Lake (Linked HERE) and knew they were always up for an adventure. Tim and I secretly hoped they would choose Yosemite for their post-wedding session, and to our excitement, they did! Exactly one month after their wedding, we packed our bags and headed to the breathtaking Yosemite National Park.

Hope, Jeri’s maid of honor, joined us to help with hair and makeup, and we all stayed together in a beautiful Airbnb. The night before the session, we stayed up late talking and laughing, soaking in every moment of this special trip. The next morning, we started the adventure bright and early in the crisp mountain air. It was freezing, but you’d never know looking at Chan and Jeri—every photo radiated warmth and joy. After a long morning of shooting, we took a much-needed break for lunch, warming up with coffee before finishing the session as the sun set behind the stunning Yosemite cliffs.

Their wedding and adventure session were both unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have been part of it all. Chan and Jeri, your love for each other and those around you shines so brightly. We’re so excited to see what God has in store for your future!
