LIZET AND DANIEL
It was a beautiful and cool summer morning, when we arrived at Lizet’s home. The chickens were clucking, the windows were open, and there was a peaceful stillness ushering in the sweet beginning of thier wedding day. Lizet was calm, radiant, and ready before the planned timeline. Her mom helped her into her dress, and soon after, we were headed to the church for the ceremony.
At the church, Lizet’s mom and dad walked her down the aisle. The ceremony, mostly in Spanish, was full of heartfelt moments and quite a few laughs, thanks to the engaging priest. After the ceremony, we captured a few family and wedding party portraits before heading to Chico State for more portraits with the wedding party and just the couple.
There was a few-hour break between the ceremony and the reception, which allowed everyone to rest and reset before the evening celebration. And what a celebration it was! The reception began with incredible food, and Tim said it was the best salsa he’d ever had. (We’re definitely making a trip to Taqueria Los Amigos soon!) While the guests ate, kids danced freely in the middle of the room, setting a joyful tone for the evening.
Once everyone was settled, Lizet and Daniel were formally announced, and the dancing kicked off. The energy in the room was contagious. In between dances, the bouquet and garter toss brought more excitement, and Lizet and Daniel never stopped smiling the entire day.
One of the most memorable parts of the evening was when the band started up we noticed someone putting the final touches on a cow costume. Moments later, three costumed dancers joined the party. It was such a fun, unexpected touch that had everyone laughing and dancing along.
We were truly blown away by the hospitality Lizet, Daniel, their families, and the wedding party showed to every single guest, including us. Their joy, love, and warmth made this wedding one we’ll always remember. We were honestly sad when it was time to pack up and leave.
Lizet and Daniel, thank you for letting us be part of your beautiful day. We’re so excited for your future together!
